All Guardian fencing products are certified to meet ASTM F 2286 requirements and the self-closing gate has a US patent. The Premier fencing line has also been thoroughly tested at the LNE laboratory in France, gaining the AFNOR (the body responsible for French safety standards) NF P 90-306 certification. We are confident that the rigorous testing performed in America (in a land where the culture of SAFETY is paramount), is more than adequate to ensure that the product we have chosen to import is the right one for these beautiful islands. 
France is the only European country we are aware of at the moment who actually enforce strict swimming pool safety laws.

A little about us and our business

We are a husband and wife team who relocated to the island of Fuerteventura with our 3 children in September 2007.

We have a villa with a small swimming pool and Lorraine wanted to be sure that our pool would be safe for our youngest child to be around. We didn't like the option of a safety cover and started to look for a viable alternative.

It became apparent that the only options available in the Canary Islands at that time were to either build a wall around your pool, or to have some kind of permanent fencing structure installed. Our garden didn't really lend itself to either of these options, so when Lorraine found a number of manufacturers in the United States who make removable safety fences, she contacted some of them & asked for more information about their products.

Following this, we made a trip to the States where we met up with a couple of safety fence installers and viewed their safety fences first hand. We came away with the definite impression that in terms of both the quality of the product and the customer support provided, the Guardian Pool Fence System was the best choice for us.

After a number of discussions with the Company Director at Guardian, based in the sunshine state of California, we not only ordered a safety fence and self-closing gate for installation at our own villa, we also obtained the sole rights to distribute this purpose-designed fencing system throughout the Canary Islands.

Our aim is to work in tandem with Swimming Pool Installers, Garden Landscapers, Property Management Companies and Estate Agents to ensure that all holiday home owners are aware of pool safety issues and of the benefits of installing a pool safety fence system.

We want the installation of a pool safety fence to go hand-in-hand with the installation of a swimming pool or a spa. The protection of children around water should NEVER be overlooked.
