Specifically
designed to operate with the tension fit removable fence,
the gate
has a galvanized steel frame coated in plastic with
matching colours to complement the fencing system.
It operates with stainless steel spring loaded hinges
and a magnetic latch that is key locking. The
gate comes completely assembled and ready to be
installed in your terrace. |
|
The trusses and the “U” shaped gate are just two of the
19 different claims on this gate that are protected by
US Patent #5,664,769.
Award winning gate latch
The only latch used is Magna Latch,
made in Australia. This latch
won the Silver Medal in 1992 at the International Inventors
Convention in Geneva, Switzerland, and is also the winner of
the Australian Design Award.

Non-climbable Gate
The lack of a crossbar
significantly increases the difficulty a child would
have trying to climb our gate. There is nothing rigid at
the top of our gate OR fence to support a child if they
attempted to climb this system.
ALL OTHER COMPANIES that make a self-closing gate for a
mesh pool fence have a crossbar at the top of their
gate.
In
addition,
the hinges on the gate are sloping, rather than
horizontal, which helps to prevent children from gaining
a foothold and pulling themselves up. The company that produces the TRU-CLOSE
hinges also produces the MAGNA
LATCH. |

Convenience and Removability
The fencing can be
dismantled quickly and easily by an adult and has the
added benefit of conveniently rolling up for easy
storage, hence it is also known as 'rollaway fencing'.
 |
|
|
Tension, Hooks and Padlocks
The hooks and eyes which help to keep the fence at the
correct tension can be quickly and easily padlocked for
additional security.

Professional Installation
If you choose to have
your fence professionally installed, then Gordon will
visit your property and take measurements and
photographs.
He will discuss the options with you and give advice on
the safety aspects. If you are not available and we are
dealing with your property managers, we will email you
with our comments. There will normally be at least two
different options which will comply with impending
safety laws and we will provide you with a quotation for
each. Obviously the final decision is yours and the
design you choose will have an impact upon the total
length of fencing required and hence the price.
If we have your choice of colour and height in stock,
then the installation can be done at a time convenient
to you.
If you choose a size and colour option that we do not
hold in stock, then we can normally have your fence
ordered, shipped and installed within 4 weeks.
Installation should take no longer than 1 to 2 days to complete
(in the case of a large communal pool, this maybe
slightly longer).
Gordon will then ensure that either you, the owner, or
your representative or property manager, is fully
competent with the erection and dismantling of the
fence and you will be provided with the manufacturers'
lifetime warranty against defects.

DIY Installation
You will need:-
·
An SDS hammer drill
·
A 16mm (5/8”) drill bit
·
A ‘Guardian’ installation drilling guide
(we have these available to rent)
·
A tape measure
·
A chalk line
·
A hammer
·
A pencil or crayon
·
A stapler
·
Scissors
·
Electrical tape
·
Rawl plugs and screws if your fence will
be attached to a wall
·
Your pool safety fence design
When your safety fence is delivered, you will receive
everything that you need to complete the
installation of the fence into your terrace, including
an instructional DVD.
Please remember that, whilst the fence has a
lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, the integrity
of the fence is only as good as the installation.
If you are confident in your DIY skills, then you should
have no problem installing the fence yourself, but a
poor installation could detract from the safety and
security of the product.
